The US government has
officially ended the hunt for Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. It
has been known for some time that there were no illegal weapons to find
and this was simply a face saving exercise, the head of the operation
has not even been to Iraq in months.
The US government carefully
ended the 'hunt' after the US elections were well and truly over
everyone having been convinced that the pro-war governments were citing
duff evidence to excuse their illegal war.
This face saving operation
has cost tens, possibly hundreds, of millions of dollars according to
David Kay, one of the previous weapons inspectors, although the true
cost may never be known as this information is 'classified'.
